Dancing in the Street.

Today is one of those days where I find myself struggling, to coin a better phrase, 'be cool'. I am off to New York for a long weekend tomorrow and as it's the first time I have ever been there you can imagine to extent of my excitement. So I decided there was only one thing for it...I needed to dance about a bit in a swishy frock and try and get it out of my system so I can at least get on with some proper work.

So we hit the street..and I danced. Well I say danced, it was more like just jump around a bit and sway from side to side in the way that you only can when your wearing such a lovely tea dress whilst trying to avoid confused looks from passers by.

If I'm honest it didn't really help. It just made me a bit dizzy and (if it was even possible) even more excited. So now I'm sitting with at my desk with a cuppa trying to calm down while I count down the hours until I can go home and pack. I sense this afternoon may drag somewhat..

Anyway, the dress I'm wearing today belonged to my Nanna and is just beautiful. I will be telling you all about my Nanna and showing off many of her amazing dresses over the next couple of weeks so keep your eyes peeled for that.
